Astragalus Membranaceus

 

Properties: Tastes slightly sweet and has almost no smell.

Channels Entered: Spleen; Lung.
Actions & Indications: In qixu (qi deficient) , pixu (spleen deficient) and yangxu (yang deficient), weakness and fatigue, numbness of limb, morbidity after stroke, sweating, promoting pus discharge and tissue regeneration. Promotes diuresis to reduce edema. Treatment of diabetes. Treatment of xinyangxu (heart yang deficient) and shenyangxu.


reshi

Ganoderma Lucidum

Properties: Sweet; neutral; Non-toxicity

Channels Entered: Lung, hear, spleen, kidney
Actions & Indications: Replenishing Qi and blood; soothe heart and nerves; strengthening the spleen and stomach


Gynostemma Pentaphyllum

Nature and Taste :Bitter, sweet, cold.

Momordica Charantia (Bitter Melon)

Properties: Bitter Salty; slight cold; non-toxicity

Properties: Sweet, Slightly bitter, Slightly cool.

Actions & Indications: Contraindicated for those with a weak Spleen and Stomach, contraindicated for those with Qi Stagnation and Phlegm-Dampness in the Stomach, contraindicated for those with loose stools due to Cold in the Middle Jiao.


 

Polygonatum odoratum
